Eligibility criteria for FSWP

• The candidate must have minimum 1 year of experience without any beak as full-time or paid worker or an equivalent work
• The candidate must have offered an arranged employment. The offer of employment must be in writing, meet the arranged employment factor and indefinite in duration
• The candidate must have enrolled in PhD program, which is delivered by recognized post-secondary organization, with at least 2 year PhD and must have fine academic standing

The candidate who is applying should obtain minimum 67 marks. They are assessed on education, age, work experience, language ability, acceptableness and arranged employment

• Maximum points under education are 25. The points are given by CIC considering the educational credential assessment
• Maximum points under language proficiency are 25. The applicants should submit their application along with language test results. Two official languages are present one is English and other is French
• Maximum points under work experience are 15. In this points are given by considering the number of years you have worked in a paid position as a full time worker
• Maximum points under age are 12. The applicants who are in between 18 and 35 years will acquire maximum marks, when they are above 35, one mark will be lost and id above 47 zero marks are given
• Maximum points under arranged employment are 10
• Maximum points under adaptability are 10

The points listed above are new amended by the CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) to the existing laws. The changes are done to concentrate on the language skills, so now the applicants must concentrate on language test kept by CIC.
